  • The data estate of reporting and scheduling ensuring that our stakeholders are receiving the best data in a efficient and veracious fashion.

Why Yü Group

Yü Group PLC is a fast growing company with a lot to offer. We encourage development and often promote from within. We’ve got ambitious plans for the future which means lots of exciting career progression opportunities.

Who am I?

I come from a background of strong mathematics during my school education. Primarily thinking this set me up for a career in Finance / Accounting, within three months of leaving university and in my first role I realised this was not the case.

Having worked in analytical roles across many departments over the next few years I found great success in gaining business knowledge whilst honing my skills in coding, practice and project management.

As a result, my most important principle embedded in any of my data teams is they need to learn how the business works to successfully uphold standards and practice technically.

I have lead two transformation projects to success in less than 18 months;
  1. The Tarmac project moved from a very manual and repetitive excel exercise to a technical solution using SQL, UIPath, SAP Products and Tableau
  2. The Daniels Health project moved from basic SQL and Excel stack to a very modernised Azure, Databricks and PBI output.
My motivation is to take Yu Energy to the world of advanced data science with the fruition of this data strategy.

Advice for prospective candidates

  1. Do your research, and dig a bit deeper into who we are as an organisation.
  2. Show enthusiasm, do you just want a job or do you want a career.
  3. If you're not shortlisted for a position, or unsuccessful at interview stage that doesn't mean we wouldn't want to hear from you again....don't give up!
  4. Be yourself! As much as possible, I would encourage you to be your genuine self—not the person you think would be right for the role.
