Who am I?
1985....enrolled into an apprenticeship with NORWEB during my journey I have been lucky and progressed through the industry, as a cable technician, Engineer assistant, Trainee engineer, Network fault technician, Metering Technician, 3rd Engineer, 2nd Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Field force Manager, Local Operations Manager, National Operations Manager, Training Manager, Academy Manager and Technical Standards Manager. I have work in partnership and delivered projects for many clients including Astra Zeneca, Transport for London, Peel Holdings, Manchester Airport, Floats Glass, Hilton group, SPOW, E-on, Npower, Green E. Kirklees CC. Over the pass 35 years my driver has always been to provide solutions and deliver successful result for all stake holders. I am not a maverick and I don't have all the answers but I am a protector with in active team or as a standalone function.
Advice for prospective candidates
- Do your research, and dig a bit deeper into who we are as an organisation.
- Show enthusiasm, do you just want a job or do you want a career.
- If you're not shortlisted for a position, or unsuccessful at interview stage that doesn't mean we wouldn't want to hear from you again....don't give up!
- Be yourself! As much as possible, I would encourage you to be your genuine self—not the person you think would be right for the role.
