I am the Industrial & Commercial (I&C) Billing Team Leader at Yü Energy, part of Yü Group PLC — a specialist supplier of commercial gas and electricity across the UK. With nearly three years in the industry, I have progressed rapidly from Billing Analyst to Senior Analyst and now Team Leader, supported by a strong technical understanding of complex commercial billing.

In my current role, I lead a team of 10 skilled analysts responsible for the accurate and timely billing of our highest-consuming commercial customers through the Junifer billing platform. I oversee the full I&C billing lifecycle, including invoice generation, reconciliation, and CSV reporting, while managing our Unbilled Portfolio and ensuring all billing queries are efficiently resolved.

I have extensive experience with specialised billing products and packages — including Weekly, Passthrough, EII, Flex, Parent & Child, and EDI — and I work closely with our SME Billing Team to ensure company-wide billing accuracy and KPI performance. My role also includes driving process optimisation and automation initiatives, supported by strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

I began my career at Yü Energy in January 2023 as a Billing Analyst, entering the energy industry with a strong analytical mindset and a drive to understand the complexities of commercial billing, with little-to-no energy experience. Early on, I developed a reputation for accuracy, problem-solving, and a proactive approach to resolving billing challenges for large industrial and commercial customers.

My performance and ability to take ownership of complex billing scenarios led to rapid progression — first to Senior Billing Analyst, where I supported process improvements and mentored junior team members, and then to my current position as Industrial & Commercial Billing Team Leader. Through this journey, I’ve gained a deep understanding of commercial gas and electricity billing, specialised billing products, and the regulatory landscape within the UK energy sector.

My background has shaped my leadership style: analytical, collaborative, and focused on driving both team development and operational accuracy. I am committed to continuously improving our billing processes, supporting cross-team alignment, and ensuring high-quality service for our commercial consumers.
